    This stuff used to be

Posted by RogerR in vitalitymedical on Jul 1st 2022

This stuff used to be ubiquitous - I could buy it at any pharmacy and get lerger quantities in a medical supply house at a good price. Now single rolls of look-alike products are hard to find and costly. This outfit sells the original online at a fai price, they ship it quickly, and then they hound you with other stuff every freaking day. And now a "survey."

GREAT WRAP TO CONTROL TOE ISSUES

Posted by AraceliN in vitalitymedical on Jul 1st 2022

Coban is a great wrap to keep at home as it has many uses from bandaging an area that you have injured, keeping a dressing in place if used on a limb and a very important tool when you are having toe issues. I have a bunion and on the second toe its causing me issues trying to cross over my big toe and is a huge uncomfortable issue when wearing shoes. Then Trying to stop it from getting worse with crossing over. The Coban is helping me totally to control that toe and can wear my shoes comfortable with less pain. I am taping the second toe to the middle toe. Posting a picture of my taping my toes. I first began using Coban when I was a supervisor and trainer with our community blood bank to tape the gauze around the arm after they donated blood, then I also taught physical therapy at the technician level and was also using it there to teach.

    As a dialysis patient, paper

Posted by MichaelM in vitalitymedical on Jul 1st 2022

As a dialysis patient, paper tape was applied over the gauze pads to the two access sites in my arm. Quite often the removal of the tape would tear my skin and create additional issues with healing of those tears. I supplied the dialysis center with the coban to hold the gauze in place with some pressure. I have not had any skin tears since starting to use the tape.
