Buy It!
This thing is awesome. I have never used them before but I bought the highest resistance one and I have noticed a change in my hands, fingers, and forearms in just a few weeks (Not how they look, but the way the feel and how they perform). I am on the computer a lot be it for work or school or Warcraft, and I would use this thing at the computer constantly or carry it around the house. Got a loading screen, do a few reps. On a zoom meeting? Lets get in a few squeezes. The instructions that come with it are perfect too for proper use. Easy to master. Worth every single penny.

Wanted more resistance than the standard Gripmaster Pro and this does the job perfectly. Just as comfy and sturdy as the Pro version but requires significantly more grip strength. Great training aid for finger-to-palm squeezes for those with strong grips and some finger-to-thumb squeezes as well. Excellent for working out your forearms.

Just a great work out for your fingers
I first used this with my Pilates Instructor and was impressed by the option of exercising all the hand or individual fingers, which is great for me. The range of resistances available is very useful and well described - I chose to start with faily easy. I just keep it to hand so it gets used every day. They are popular with musical unstrument players for toning up and it's easy to see why.

Wow! This is different.
I'm used to the "old fashioned" kind of grip strenghtener. Just a triangle with a spring you collapse and release. How simple. The grip master is sturdily built. Some plastic but all moving parts are metal. Neatest part is it allows you to exercise individual fingers or all at once and still get grip exercise. Boy, I cant do 2 sets of 10 reps with my 2 smallest fingers although I can with the rest. Think of holding individual strings down on the fret board on the neck of a guitar with individual fingers. Kudos for including a thumb excerciser too. Must be done separately. See instructions. Sho

Gripmaster Hand Exerciser Option: Extra Heavy
This is a quality product. I bought it train to for climbing. My grade is 6A (french) and I chose the Extra Heavy exerciser which I'm happy with. I use the beast maker app (1.99 and also good value) to set training sessions at the 6A level and the extra heavy exerciser is tough. I can't finish the exercises at present (I'm on day 2 of training) I get about half way through. But that's the idea of training, this will give me plenty of room for progression whereas one of the easier exercisers would probably have been too easy. I'm also out of shape from not climbing for 2 months. Hope that helps

Pretty awesome, variations to make it harder
If you're concerned that 13 lbs isn't enough, since you're a rock climber, then you may find yourself initially disappointed. For me it's not to hard to crush this gripper repeatedly, though I have relatively strong forearms, I'm ~215 lbs and my highest climbing grade in the gym was a 5.11b. However, then I realized there are a lot of grip variations that make it quite difficult, and so probably helpful for gaining strength: * You can squeeze and hold it as long as you can, like when hangboarding. * You can place your fingers between the pads, such that your finger is squishing two springs at

Very effective finger exerciser
My doctor recommended hand physical therapy due to some problems I was having. While I was at physical therapy, I noticed they wanted me to exercise my fingers with a device called the "GripMaster". I stopped physical therapy due to the high co-pay and bought my own unit to strengthen my fingers. One thing I can tell you for sure is that the "GripMaster" is extremely effective in strengthening fingers. It is built very sturdy and allows a person to exercise all fingers or even only one finger if that is all that is necessary. I really like the idea that each unit has a specified poundage tensi

The word (indicator) of health
Using this will not improve health! For an older person it might be dangerous. I mean joints and ligaments. The impression was meant to convey that increasing hand strength will improve an older persons health. That is playing it backwards! If a person is still able to maintain muscular strength, this might keephim from falling or dropping something. 1. stop smoking 2.start walking 3.Eat healthy 4.Get proper sleep. If you do these things you might still be able to gain muscle as the years pile up. AND YES, I LIKE YOUR PRODUCT. IT IS WELL MADE AND AFFORDABLE.

It does work.
Love this thing. I use it anywhere, at the red light, watching tv, reading a book, in my coat pocket while I'm in a conversation, walking, running. It definitely strengthens my fingers. I originally bought the hard tension and have used it on and off for a few years now; so using this light tension is piece of cake for me. I'm noticing way more reps now and it's much easier on my pinky fingers. :D

Great for warming up and cooling down
This thing is advertised all wrong. It doesn't help your grip become stronger so much as help induce better circulation before and after climbing. Nothing is worse then showing up to the first route or problem with fingers that feel like lazy sausages. The Gripmaster comes in real handy for those long drives home after thrashing yourself on the rock for a few hours or days. It helps your fingers recuperate faster so you can get back to training at the gym asap. The best thing about this version above all others is that the fingertips of the Gripmaster pro are padded in rubber whereas in the ot

Solid Build and a Good Value
The "Pro" "Gripmaster ProHands" medium-tension hand/finger exerciser is a high-quality product whose finger-isolation technology allows the user to individually strengthen fingers on either hand. This certainly appears to be a concept superior to that of those models that do NOT isolate the fingers for strengthening work. And although I DO recommend this product, I am not thoroughly convinced of its technological superiority to conventional models. Construction is solid for long-lasting use, and the product is a good value.

My brother always used this between sets to keep his hands moving before getting back on stage to play his bass or upright. I started using it soon after for grip strength as well as a way to keep my hands busy. It is built to be held on the grip side and 4 fingers on the plastic, however at times it felt more comfortable to switch.

Improves Climbing Grip
This product is great for improving climbing grip/finger strength. The single spring design allows me to figure out which fingers I need to train and which are already at the maximum limit. Overall the strengthener is fairly comfortable: the rubber grip helps your fingers stay where they need to and the groove for the palm stabilizes the device in your hand. The product is relatively quiet and will stay so as long as you use some WD-40 on it every so often.

This is a great product when it comes to building a powerful grip; within a few training sessions my grip notably improved giving more endurance in lifting with less effort. It should be noted it has helped my rehabilitation when I fractured my right elbow three months ago. Great for exercising, keeping joints nimble and loose.
The light spring tension makes this exerciser great for anyone who wants to keep their finger joints flexible and loose. If you want to build strength, heavier spring tensions are available; but this one is my favorite for flexibility. The rubber base fits very well in my hand and the individual finger plunger tops keep your fingers on the tops, unlike some other designs' rubber tops. Recommended!!

excellent
I bought this while at gym is closed for COVID19 to help keep my grip and forearms relatively strong. It has just enough tension to not be easy, but still be doable. There are so many ways to hold it for strengthening/ maintaining various grips. Constant squeezing or pumping the spring. Id imagine its a good pre climb warmup as well.

Hand Exerciser
I purchased this item expressly for the purpose of trying to regain strength and rebuild the muscle in my left hand between my thumb and forefinger. I have been using it for about two weeks and I can see and feel an improvement. My other fingers also have more strength in both hands. I hope continuing use will bring my left hand back to full or near full strength. In any event I do find improvement in my left hand which is also my dominant hand and very necessary for writing and other coordinated use of my hand. Norm C.

The GripMaster has essentially improved every aspect of my life. From improving how I hold a fork to letting me squeeze my own oranges now. This thing is probably the best thing I've ever invested in - and I bought Apple stock in the early 2000's. I can rock climb with one hand, play a guitar with two, and do both with 3. Great tool
I am a competitive pistol shooter. This tool helps me increase my grip strength. It works better than the old ones I had because each finger gets an equal amount of weight. The only reason I gave it 4 instead of 5 stars is because for some reason the hard plastic hurts my left hand. Other than that, it does what it's supposed to do. Well worth the purchase.

I have all three light, medium, heavy. They teach your fingers the value of "getting a GRIP" on the neck of your instrument, and applying the string pressure to the fret. All I can say is "try 'em you'll be glad you did. Progressing at your stringed instrument, intonation, clarity, precision... Practice, and preparing to play for yourself and others is Paramount with learning and playing or performing. You cannot get this exercise any better than the GRIPMASTER. imho

I got it to improve strength in fingers since I play bass. It turns out XX-heavy tension is bit too hard to practice with fingertips. Especially with 3rd and 4th finger :) It is great when using whole hand though. I will probably buy another one with weaker tension since I like ergonomics of this one. It sits fine in palm.

Ok product
Tension in the springs is around the level I wanted but the actions of the individual moving parts does not move very fluidly and sometimes sticks, making the action of the spring less effective. This is because the metal shafts that support the springs move against the plastic chassis and there is too much friction between these. Your fingers naturally produce lots of lateral as well as vertical force, thus causing this problem. I will try using bike chain oil but it disappoints me that this product hasn't been engineered to reduce this obvious problem.

I read a review from a user who purchased the older model with thicker palm padding. I would have to agree with him on his assessment of the newer model. I am not a climber, but a tough guy. I can close the COC#2 eight times, I can do one handed pulls, and I can crush bottlecaps between my fingers. Let me tell you that there is nothing heavy about this. I returned it after I crushed it 100 times without getting tired (using crush, contact, and fingertip technique). I also gave it to my weak, obese friend, who closed it and laughed at it. This thing is for people with an average grip (100-120 lbs of force), not real athletes.
