Great, but edges curled maybe preventable?

Generous size, reasonable price, passed soft surface and waterproof test. The edges curled the first time I washed it but I washed it not caring...just did on delicate and threw it in the dryer on delicate and just left it all night. I use these for my dog and like the product and the size and the edges curling don't matter to me. It is big enough you could tuck the curled edges under a regular baby mattress. I bet if I had washed it and then dried it on a line and/or folded it or clipped the edges while it dried it may not have curled up. Also bought Reusable 4-Ply Quilted Underpad By: DMS Wa -

It's not "rubber". It's a thin coat of vinyl over thin flannel. It'll work okay for a bit but I'm going to be looking for something more sturdy. Heck, I have plastic tablecloths that are sturdier so I may just go with one of them.
