I have never purchased or worn compression wear before, but my doctor prescribed them for varicose veins pre (and post) surgery. I am 38 and dont generally wear pantyhose, so I chose these sheer ones that hopefully would go unnoticed under my jeans every day. While they do make me hot, they stay up and are not uncomfortable on the thigh. I chose open toe so I could wear sandals but they have a reinforced heel so theyre more obvious than Id like anyway. Also, the foot end tends to roll back to my arch and sometimes gets uncomfortable. I only need to wear these for a few months (thank goodness) -
