The DURAFIBER range is a new generation of strong non woven gelling fibre dressings with the benefit of clean one piece removal

Strength in Performance

The DURAFIBER range is a new generation of high performing gelling fibre dressing designed to meet the many challenges posed by medium and heavily exuding infected and non infected wounds.

Specially designed with innovative fibre technology, DURAFIBER features a unique non-woven fibre blend that is integral to its high performance.

This unique blend provides an exclusive combination of benefits that set DURAFIBER dressings apart from conventional gelling fibre dressings.

The VERSAJET II system enables a surgeon to precisely select, excise and evacuate nonviable tissue, bacteria and contaminants from wounds, burns and soft tissue injuries.

As the handpiece travels tangentially over the soft tissue surface it creates a smooth wound bed while maximising dermal preservation. The tissue-preserving technique reduces time to closure which may reduce overall treatment costs.

Optimal Outcomes

Clinical Outcomes

  • Reduced bacterial burden
  • Preserves viable tissue
  • Removes unwanted necrosis and debris
  • Improved graft and synthetic dressing results
  • Improved excision of contoured areas, web spaces and facial structures
  • Minimized peripheral tissue damage

Health Economic Outcomes

  • Reduced number of debridements
  • Reduced healing time, compared to conventional methods
  • Reduced operating room time
  • Reduced repeat procedures
  • Minimized cross contamination
  • Reduced treatment cost

Hydrosurgery System
A specialized powered surgical instrument designed to improve care for patients undergoing wound debridement in the operating room. Utilizes a high-pressure jet of sterile saline that travels parallel to the wound surface. This high-speed jet creates a Venturi effect that enables the surgeon to simultaneously hold, cut and remove tissue, while irrigating and aspirating the wound, with a single instrument. This new technology allows the surgeon to differentiate between tissue types through technique as well as by varying power settings, therefore, sparing viable tissue while precisely targeting and removing debris and damaged tissue. Rapid and effective hydrosurgical debridement using the system can help to reduce procedure times as well as potentially reducing the number of debridements each wound requires compared to traditional modalities e.g. the use of scalpel and pulsed lavage. This modality is suitable for surgical debridement of chronic and acute wounds in the operating room with the patient undergoing general anesthesia.
