    Well, it definitely grips! Unfortunately, it isn't very easy to apply to the handle. I was putting it on a broom handle that was less than one inch in diameter, as suggested. I followed the instructions, but it was so snug that it was almost impossible to apply it to the broom handle. I asked my husband to help pull the tab because I couldn't pull it hard enough even with gloves on. He was able to pull it for a little while, but it stretched and broke. He grabbed what was left of it with pliers. It came out a little more and then stretched and broke again. Then he tried pulling from the other

    These are great, with a lot if different uses. Super tough. Super easy to apply. Be warned--once you've started applying it, you won't be able to adjust the placement. That being said, BUY TWO because they're very affordable and if you're happy with the placement of the first one then your bound to find a use for the spare in the future. Else, if you don't like the placement of the first, then you can cut it off and redo with the second. Application tip: The first time I used one was for replacing the end grip on a fiberglass shovel handle that I shortened for use in my Jeep. Following the app
