The Sorbalgon Ag Dressing is a sterile, latex-free wound dressing designed for effective wound management. It features a soft alginate textile fiber composition combined with carboxymethylcellulose (CMC) and an ionic silver complex (silver carbonate). The dressing releases silver ions upon contact with wound fluid, providing antimicrobial protection against microorganisms.
As the dressing absorbs wound exudate, it transforms into a soft, non-adhering gel that maintains a moist wound environment to support healing. The alginate fibers ensure high absorbency while remaining intact during removal, minimizing residue and trauma to the wound bed.
