AD Surgical UNIFY Polydioxanone (PDO) Sutures. Monofilament.
Comparable Suture Brand" PDS II of Ethicon, Maxon of Convidien
UNIFY Polydioxanone sutures, better known as PDO, is a monofilament synthetic absorbable surgical suture. It is non-antigenic, non-pyrogenic, and elicits minimal tissue reactivity during the absorption process. PDO is indicated for use in soft tissue approximation, including use in pediatric cardiovascular and ophthalmic procedures. Polydioxanone suture is not indicated in adult cardiovascular tissue, microsurgery, and neural tissue. This suture is particularly useful when the combination of an absorbable suture and extended wound support (up to six weeks) is desirable.
Color: Violet Strength duration: 55-65 days
Absorb duration: 180-200 days
Each box contains 12 individually sterilized foil packs of sutures and one instruction sheet. The suture is sterilized with ethylene oxide (EO) gas and normally will have 1-3 years of shelf life.
All AD Surgical products are FDA approved. Our UNIFY Sutures are compatible to the quality of Ethicon Sutures, but at a fraction of their prices. UNIFY Surgical sutures are manufactured in our own contracted manufacturing facilities and have been selling factory-direct in the US market for over 8 years. You can save up to 80% on your suture cost by switching to UNIFY Sutures!
