Prescription or Medical/Professional/ DME License Required. Upload or Send via e-mail.
Bard Composix L/P Mesh is a low-profile, large pore polypropylene/ePTFE prosthesis designed for laparoscopic ventral hernia repair. This versatile product is indicated for use in the reconstruction of soft tissue deficiencies, such as for the repair of hernias and chest wall defects. It is approximately 60% lighter than Bard Mesh, making it an efficient option for healthcare professionals.
Featuring a soft, compliant, biocompatible knit structure, the Bard Composix L/P Mesh is easy to handle and insert laparoscopically. All sizes can be deployed through a trocar, and an optional Introducer Tool is available to make mesh insertion even easier.
It is important to ensure proper orientation during use; the solid white surface (ePTFE) must be oriented against the bowel or sensitive organs to prevent adhesion formation. It is also recommended to use Davol fixation devices or nonabsorbable monofilament sutures to properly secure the prosthesis, as well as to take precautions to ensure the prosthesis is adequately fixated to the abdominal wall to avoid complications such as seroma, adhesions, hematomas, inflammation, extrusion, fistula formation, and recurrence of the hernia or soft tissue defect.
Healthcare professionals can rely on the Bard Composix L/P Mesh for efficient and effective laparoscopic ventral hernia repair, providing a reliable solution for reconstruction of soft tissue deficiencies.
