Best Input Device hands down.
It works with Jamup, Sonoma 4 track, and Garage Band. It does not work with Amplitube. I think the limitation is not the device, but the apps and medium to where it's going. You are not going to get professional results from an Ipad. What you will get is

Apogee Jam Can Do It All!
The apogee jam might be the best equipment money I have ever spent. I am using a souped up macbook air as my main recording device. I am currently recording my own album using bare-bones equipment. I run everything into the jam. Guitars, bass, mics, you n

Get this one. You won't regret it.
This interface fulfills the promise of making the iphone or ipad a useful guitar practice and composing tool. The analog interfaces like iRig are noisy and subject to feedback. The Apogee Jam is noise free and easy to use. Line 6 makes an interface that

Peter Frampton was right!
35+ yrs. as a musician, 10 yrs. independent recording artist. This is by far the very best quality when using an iPad in conjunction with Garage Band or other recording software. The secret to the quality is that this is plugged into the lightning port no

Great practice interface!
I couldn't be happier with the money I spent on this interface. It's very mobile and when I travel it's great for practice and getting down ideas. It works very good with Ampkit which was developed by Peavy but the add-ons can get pricy. For what the jam

Great iOS guitar/bass interface
Apogee Jam is a good sounding, easy to use and easy to connect interface. It came with both 30 pin and lightning cables, which is good, because I have iPads that use both of those connections. When I need to lay down guitar or bass parts in a song, I con

Easy to use, works great with Garage Band
With the current interface options, this is the one to buy. I love mine... Works great! I was up and running on Garage Band in minutes. I'm able to use the gain to adjust the input quality which is a big help. Garage Band interfaced very well with the Jam

Good sound quality but poor materials
I guess I expected better materials for this price but the case is all plastic and feels/looks cheap and it wouldn't take much to break it. There should be some kind of clip or a way to attach it to the guitar, iPad, iPhone or belt. Instead you get a stri

Vastly better than alternatives
I wish I could afford more Apogee products This is my third guitar interface for iPhone / iPad, and the first one that's actually useable. The others were fundamentally flawed because they were artificially amplifying the signal. This one used the iPod do

great buy for making music!
The JAM is a turnkey product that is a worthwhile buy. I've used it to record an acoustic-electric guitar with garageband and the tracks come out great. All you need is a 1/4" instrument input and the usb cable (included) to get going. I can get a good re

Nice and Clean
It is a keeper for sure. perfect for GarageBand and probably other apps as well. it does not work with Amplitube but that is OK cause I like the GB concept anyway. I like the volume level control. The sound is clean as water. I like the fact that it is a

A Good Guitar Interface
This is a great audio interface for iPhone and iPad. Very easy plug and play on the go. I liked the fact that it is a U.S.A. made! it is a bit pricy but it is really a reliable AI that feels pretty sturdy. I use it for practicing and building loops on my

This replaced an old analog input I had been using for years, that had terrible latency. I don't notice a bit of latency with the Jam. Great product. Easy to use. My biggest complaint is that it's a little pricey, but you get what you pay for.
