So, I also received one that did not work at all right out of the box - it didn't remove any air, no matter how many times I turned it. Whole Latte Love's customer service was good and they sent me out another one. The second one came today. I immediately could tell a difference in how it felt when turning it as there was more resistance and a slight almost click feel to it. I turned it several times and pressed the button, and air hissed in. So I turned it about 12-15 more times to see about getting the full seal with the green indicator. Then it suddenly started to feel different turning it -

I USED to have the problem of not using my coffee fast enough to have it at peak freshness, and I would have to either drink stale tasting coffee for the last couple weeks before I used it all, or just waste the last couple ounces before purchasing another bag. Now I can keep my coffee for several weeks on end and still have it taste just like it did when it finished offgassing!
